Chaplet of the Sacred Heart
Honoring the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Seven Sorrows of Mary
Meditating on Our Lady's seven sorrows
What Are Chaplets?
A chaplet (from the French word for "little hat" or "garland") is a form of Christian prayer that uses beads as a counting mechanism. While the Rosary is the most well-known chaplet, the Catholic tradition includes many other beautiful devotional prayers.
Each chaplet has its own unique structure, prayers, and spiritual focus. Some chaplets, like the Divine Mercy Chaplet, were given through private revelation. Others developed organically within the Church over centuries of devotional practice.
Praying chaplets can deepen your relationship with God by focusing your meditation on specific aspects of the faith: the mercy of God, the protection of the angels, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, or the sorrows of Our Lady.
